Kate will have to return to Verity. August will have to let her back in. And a new monster is waiting—one that feeds on chaos and brings out its victims’ inner demons.

Which will be harder to conquer: the monsters they face, or the monsters within?

Victoria You evil creature you hate me don't you that's why you do this every effin' time I hate you so so so much I just don't get it why do I put myself to the sheer torture of reading a good book and become broken time and again I mean obviously I need help that's why I do this myself every freakin' time also let me clear a little doubt that your fluffy brains might have right now you might be wondering that "Akansha why are you freaking out so much on a book which you've given 4 stars isn't this much freaking out reserved for 5 star books???????"well first off excuse you my amount of freaking out and fangirling is not directly proportional to how much I rate a book don't even say otherwise or I might take August's violin and bash you(which means myself since I'm good at nothing) on the head with it second off its actually 4.5 stars you can't see the half star because the bigger ones outshine the little one and third off the only reason it has 4.5 stars is because well when I compare ACOL to this one you know what happens (i.e. me having a mental breakdown which is quiet common i must say ) but yeah this book gets 4.5 stars and I'm freaking out about it.

The world well I've told you time and again that Victoria is the queen of world building so no doubt in that also I may be biased since this book has monsters who shed people throats and other monsters who eat said people so yeah naturally I'm a fan secondly their is my baby violinist monster August who wasn't that much of a baby in this book and no Victoria I didn't like that*gives a pointed stare* and then there is Kate who was just so badass and so snarky and you know what Victoria I don't think you care that's why you rip my heart out and squeeze it with so much pleasure and glee.

This book was much more bloody and had a lot more violence than the previous one which is not a real surprise also there was a lot of character development our characters go through so many ups and downs and they grow so much in these books and I just don't know what to say I just..I really can't folks I can't

Now coming to my little precious characters whom I love so much that I can't not hate Victoria so anyways let's start:-

1)August:-Ahh!my little baby violinist monster who is so precious that he needs to be protected at all costs just in this book he was all like I'm going to be a bad monster who people fear so much that they won't enter his side of Verity and obviously he failed badly not at making people fear him part because a lot of people were scared of him but at the"no one will enter my side of Verity"because someone did enter and got him out of his stupid phase of being a big bad monster.But still I love him and he's super precious so yeah.

2)Kate:-She's such a cupcake trust me on that and I love her so much just she's so badass and snarky and has such a sharp tongue that she can't keep a retort back even if she tried to and the friendship Kate and August have is so hardcore and just I don't in the beginning she's in this place prosperity where she finds friends as in she's happy and just why did she leave?she could've stayed although I know she couldn't have but still I...forget it you know or else..Okay I'm breaking down (at this point you might want to know that I'm trying very hard not to spoil you you might reward me with a cup cake for that it's a very daring feat not many can accomplish it)

3)Ilsa:-she's literally so sweet and I just love her so much she's like the best sister she cares about August so much and she helps Kate so may times and I love her I can say no more.(also I'm full on crying right now why do i have to relive pain so much)

4)Allegro:-Now I'm a firm believer in everyone having equal rights and representation in books(like food) and cats are no exception so needless to say I'm telling you the importance of Allegro so at times when August was in need of a second opinion this cat helped him by either snuggling up to him or raising its little cat ears at him telling him that he was a big bad monster although I'm not sure how reliable this system is maybe the cat was just hungry and was angry that August didn't give him fish or rat or whatever cats eat since the only information I have about cats and their appetites is from Tom and Jerry so you can guess how much of a pro I am

5)Soro:-He's a new character and a sunai and I don't know anything about him so you can conclude that he has the personality of a potato so you do get me right?

6)Sloan:-hate isn't the right word to express my emotions toward him he's obsessed by the idea of killing Kate and drinking her blood but when he did get the chance well let's just say he was as disappointed as I am when an "over hyped book"doesn't lives to its expectations.
(although I don't go  killing random people as much as I would like to)


So all in all this book did break me I mean I've been broken a lot these months I think all the authors who are doing this are having a kitty party right now for making me cry so much in these two months but I know what you're thinking shut it Akansha we get it that you"possibly"want to hug this author to death but no sir you don't know the extent of my feelings anyways what I did like:-August trying to be a big bad monster and failing,Kate and her Sass,badassness,violence so much violence,blood,shady parts of verity,monsters!(well 2 monsters in particular)

And let me just confess something real quick I procrastinated a lot for this book just because i thought it would break me and I wasn't sure if I was prepared for that but voila! were my instincts true.And just so you know Victoria I'm never going to forgive you never ever*sigh*

So dear reader at last I would like to say that if you haven't read this book go read it so that you and I can be broken together and cry together or else I'm going to steal your chocolates(trust me I could do that my resources are really really depleted)
