okaay so what to say of this. i feel like this was a great beauty and the beast retelling like really really great it wasn't loosely based on the original story but had solid grasp of the story i feel like megan did a fantastic job in telling the original story as well as writing her own granted there was no talking "crockery" but i'm pretty sure i would have liked it if we had those too.but in lieu of that we had a whole lot of bad-assery and that feels like a solid compromise.
i really loved are main character beauty.she was just so bad ass and just so incredible.she knew how to use a bow and arrow and honestly i feel like most of bad ass heroine know how to use this examples :-katniss,feyre and maybe more cause i don't remember anyone else but you know what i'm talking about!also i really liked how fierce beauty was she didn't want to marry just about any one and she rejected a guy and i was like "yep that's my girl" i also liked how megan didn't dance around shady parts of the story but the part i most liked was that beautys sisters weren't those petty sisters who envied their little sister and wanted to bring her downfall and other crappy stufff they really cared about beauty and that was just great.not to mention she tried to kill the beast which was like the most rational thing ever like you gotta kill your kidnapper man (even though i can't kill a fly because i feel super guilty for that but you know what i'm talikng about!)
next up we have beast whom i deeply cared like the way he was portrayed was so...original and he really felt like a beast who had been cursed also he was really sweet(okay maybe not that sweet)but i deeply cared about him and just he was great.
i really loved the world that megan built with those fantasy elements the way she weaved the story was just so incredible and beautiful that you couldn't help but love this book.
all in all this was a great retelling the characters were great the world was great and just check it out okay?
