The Book of Life (All Souls Trilogy, #3)
Can i just say how gorgeous these covers are like straight up other
cover artists should take notes.
series, historian and witch Diana Bishop and vampire scientist Matthew Clairmont return to the present to face new crises and old enemies. At Matthew’s ancestral home at Sept-Tours, they reunite with the cast of characters from A Discovery of Witches—with one significant exception. But the real threat to their future has yet to be revealed, and when it is, the search for Ashmole 782 and its missing pages takes on even more urgency. In the trilogy’s final volume, Harkness deepens her themes of power and passion, family and caring, past deeds and their present consequences. In ancestral homes and university laboratories, using ancient knowledge and modern science, from the hills of the Auvergne to the palaces of Venice and beyond, the couple at last learn what the witches discovered so many centuries ago.

My Rating:-🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was soooo epic just sooooo epic i really don't know how to form coherent sentences all i know is that i want another book of Deborah harkness so i could get high on her words this was just such a great conclusion but i can't just bear the weight of leaving this world, these beautifully flawed characters whom i love so much that's it for non spoilery review so if you haven't read this leave now .DO NOT SCROLL DOWN.except for the comments where i post the book but no sneaking glances in between!

SPOILERS!!!!!!!

Okay i just don't know from where to start lets just state the fact that Deborah's writing is epic i was feeling like i was there the whole time! but enough of that let's start so Diana could weave spells like she could create new spells and that's why she is a weaver and apparently the spells that these witches had came from previous papers we also kind of get more insights on Diana's mother like she practised dark magic and she shows up as a ghost in the first chapter while Philippe and Emily were having there ghost conversation but i still don't get why Emily called her like i just don't but i must say the ghost Phillipe was too much and him talking with Emily struck in the feels like every time i See him I'm like don't do this to me!stop!coming to Diana's children i liked Phillip more than Rebbecca because he was just so calm and like he's very cute in my mind but when the twins were born i was all like my babies had babies i honestly don't get why i have this maternal instinct for good characters whenever something bad happens I'm like "don't you dare touch my babies or else i would gut you and you wouldn't like that trust me" i just don't get it but enough of that we see jack again the boy from shadow of night and i was pretty sure he would turn into a vampire but what i didn't know was that Hubbard was Matthew's grandson like i did not expect that my mind was blown and then we find out that jack has blood rage and he is the one who has been responsible for the vampiric deaths around the world (because of Benjamin whom i absolutely loathed but more on that in a second) and then what i hear Baldwin orders Matthew to kill jack and I'm like do you want me to gut you? like straight up no one touches my babies! but then jack doesn't dies obviously Diana wouldn't let him die on the same note i absolutely loved the face off between Baldwin and Diana i was just like YASS! that's my girl.so Matthew makes his own clan so that no one can order him around.coming to Benjamin i hated him like no other creature except for Knox like he was the one who tortured Phillipe because of him i couldn't think about Phillipe without a heavy weight on my chest so i did what any normal girl would do i screamed at the book obscenities and repetitive death threats.what?...that's not what normal people do?well whatever judge me! I'm not going to lie here i laughed hysterically when he and Knox died like i had conquered the world and said "how does that feel? how does that feel? you(use your imagination)*whispers*it was genuine happiness.
but another thing that pained me was gallowglass like he is in love with Diana and you know i love gallowglass he is one of my favourite characters but seeing that he loved Diana was so painful for me just so so so painful like he saw her grow up his love grow up knowing that he could never have her.i just wish he finds someone awesome and they could remain happy.
i also loved Chris i mean scientists are so awesome he is just so witty and i hope that he and Miriam end up together because they make a really cute couple and is that too much to ask for?
at the end everything sorted out everyone lived and was celebrating until Phillipe showed up with that blasted arrow saying Diana's journey is not over and that gave me hope and so i did some research and guess what a book is coming out this year with Diana and some Elizabethan shit like i really don't care i just want to see Phillip and Rebbecca grow up and gallowglass finding someone.

All in All this series was epic highly recommend it to everyone out there like straight up every breathing soul.

CARVE THE MARK #1

Carve the Mark by   Veronica Roth On a planet where violence and vengeance rule, in a galaxy where some are favored by fate, everyone develops a currentgift, a unique power meant to shape the future. While most benefit from their currentgifts, Akos and Cyra do not—their gifts make them vulnerable to others’ control. Can they reclaim their gifts, their fates, and their lives, and reset the balance of power in this world? Cyra is the sister of the brutal tyrant who rules the Shotet people. Cyra’s currentgift gives her pain and power—something her brother exploits, using her to torture his enemies. But Cyra is much more than just a blade in her brother’s hand: she is resilient, quick on her feet, and smarter than he knows. Akos is from the peace-loving nation of Thuvhe, and his loyalty to his family is limitless. Though protected by his unusual currentgift, once Akos and his brother are captured by enemy Shotet soldiers, Akos is desperate to get his brother out alive—no matter what

Flame in the Mist by   Renee Ahdieh The only daughter of a prominent samurai, Mariko has always known she’d been raised for one purpose and one purpose only: to marry. So, at just seventeen years old, Mariko is sent to the imperial palace to meet her betrothed, a man she did not choose, for the very first time. The lone survivor, Mariko narrowly escapes to the woods, where she plots her revenge. Dressed as a peasant boy, she sets out to infiltrate the Black Clan and hunt down those responsible for the target on her back. Once she’s within their ranks, though, Mariko finds for the first ti
